Good day to everyone who has looked into this topic! who has dealt with such a thermostat “Double digital PID temperature controller REX-C100” How it works, the pros and cons of this device. Is it possible to set it to a temperature of 1300C? Who took it where?

YUZON 27-09-2015 11:56

I can’t say anything about this regulator, but theirs (similar in appearance)
approximately the same characteristics (I use "Delta" - it is very similar, China, it is also in Africa - China, mainly - only the labels change)
The temperature is adjusted by the type of thermocouple
functionality for simple operations is quite enough

Then exit the menu.

I'll give you a ton of settings, I haven't figured out half of them myself. When heating, if the temperature goes beyond the set one, then do auto-tuning, first menu, AGU parameter. he will adjust the parameters P, I, d himself, but for me he adjusts the temperature normally.

There are 2 menus, the first is the set 4sec button, and the second is set and “left”. To exit these menus, you press the same button as you entered. Navigate through the menu using the set button.
Go to the first menu and don’t change anything (there are all sorts of alarms there, etc.), scroll through the set button until LCK is displayed at the end and set it to 1000 - this is like permission to enter the second menu. (for some reason these values are different in the descriptions) Then exit this menu as you entered.
Go to the second menu and make sure that SL 1 is 0000 (this is the type of thermocouple, for us it is type K) Next, go through the menu and set the parameters parameters SLL - 0 and SLH -1300 (this is the most important feature - these are the temperature limits, set which ones you need, the default is 400.
Then exit the menu.
Then close the thermocouple and controller input contacts for 5 seconds. should show the ambient temperature.
I'll give you a ton of settings, I haven't figured out half of them myself. When heating, if the temperature goes beyond the set one, then do auto-tuning, first menu, AGU parameter. he will adjust the parameters P, I, d himself, but for me he adjusts the temperature normally.

thank you, your information will be useful to me

Connection

To connect you will need:

1) Solid state relay (SSR-xxDA, in our example SSR-25DA);

2) Temperature sensor (thermocouple type K);

3) Connecting wires;

5) AC 220V network.

All connections are made according to the diagram shown on the thermostat:

Let's connect the temperature sensor, observing the polarity:

The negative connects to connector No. 9

Plus connects to connector No. 10

Let's connect the control output of the REX-C100 thermostat to the SSR-25DA solid-state relay:

Using a connecting wire, observing the polarity, we connect the control connectors of the solid-state relay and the control connectors on the thermostat.

Connector No. 4 – plus,

connector No. 5 – minus.

The load in our case is powered by 220V, just like the thermostat.

We connect the load through the relay; to do this, we connect one wire from the load to the switched output of the relay. We connect the second wire to connector No. 1 of the thermostat:

IMPORTANT: Before connecting 220V, make sure there is no voltage. Then connect the 220V power supply and the second relay output:

The thermostat power supply is connected to connectors No. 1, No. 2.

The second output from the relay to connector No. 2 of the thermostat.

This completes the connection.

Video review of REX C100

The REX C100 controller is a special device for controlling the heating process, providing accurate, efficient temperature control.

Description of operation and application of the thermal controller

The temperature, pressure, flow and liquid level parameters are displayed and controlled by the REX C100 thermostat.

Its main functions are diagnostics and automatic control.

The device is reliable, easy to use, understandable and effective, like a thermostat.

The controller is often used in any industrial sector, agriculture, various household appliances, equipment, in most machines for separating display modules, for self-assembly of stations, for example, a soldering station, for incubators, muffle furnaces, gas forges.

In other words, it can be used in any device with heating elements, for example, in the process of soldering, distillation, rectification.

The selection of the Rex model is made according to a special encoding. Any controller model has a common code and its own designations.

For example, the REX model is C100-2344-56-78. The numbers indicate the following:

  1. Standard size.
  2. Type of control (reverse or direct).
  3. Entry type.
  4. Range code.
  5. Heat.
  6. Cooling.
  7. First alarm.
  8. Second alarm.

The installation kit includes the REX C100 thermal controller itself, a K-type thermocouple (XA), a 25A or 40A solid-state relay, and a user manual.

An important condition for choosing a controller model is the presence of a direct output to the SSR solid-state relay without additional power supplies. The connection is made using a thermocouple.

The thermocouple is designed for temperatures up to 400°C. Its length is about 95 cm. The connecting thread is metric with a diameter of 6 mm.

What does PID controller mean?

PID controller REX C100 is a proportional-integral-differentiating temperature meter, i.e. reverse controlled device. PID parameters are used in automatic control systems to generate the main signal, which is determined by 3 terms:

  1. Proportional. This term is responsible for the present, reacts to an error occurring at the current moment in time.
  2. Integral. The term is used to correct static errors. It is responsible for the past, accumulates previous errors, and removes high-frequency noise.
  3. Differential. This term is intended to counteract deviations from the target value that are predicted in the future and reacts to the trend of the error.

Programming PID controllers is used due to the impossibility of maintaining a constant temperature regime by conventional means or manually.

How to connect a thermostat?

In reviews and comments to articles on technical forums, questions are often asked about how to properly connect it and how to configure the controller after purchase. It's not as difficult as it seems.

On the side of the thermostat there is a terminal connection diagram. Each terminal has its own number.

Next to each number there are “+” or “-” signs, to which all wires must be connected, observing the polarity.

The connection must be made as follows:

  1. Take a cord with a plug, connect it to terminals numbered 1 and 2 (AC 220V) on the controller. The supply voltage is variable, so the position of the wires can be any.
  2. Now we will connect the control contacts to the solid-state relay. These are terminals numbered 3 and 4. Polarity must be observed here. Otherwise, the device may burn out when turned on. So, after connecting to the relay, the green wire indicates “+” and the white wire “-”.
  3. For the regulator, respectively, terminal 4 is “+”, and “-” is terminal 5. In other words, the green wire is connected to terminal 4, and the white wire is connected to 5.
  4. Now the thermocouple is connected: red contact is terminal 10, blue contact is terminal 9.

If you get it wrong, the REX C100 PID controller will show a negative temperature on the display.

The circuit is assembled, you can start checking and connecting to the network.

Red numbers on the upper display show the current temperature of the thermocouple (PV), green numbers show the setting (SV). In the installation - the temperature that must be maintained. In this case, if the red value is lower than green, the controller sends a signal to the relay, which is indicated by the indicator of the relay itself.

When the temperature parameter on the thermocouple is adjusted to a green value or higher, the control signal should disappear, and when the temperature drops below the set value, the indicator should again signal that the control mode has been established. Moreover, if there is a large difference between the actual temperature and the setting, the control signal will not be intermittent, but constant (the blinking indicator will change to glow).

Device setup

You need to configure the regulator for thermocouple readings as follows:

  1. Long press the SET button to go to the corresponding menu.
  2. Next, use the same button to select LCE. Its value should be 1000. If necessary, it can be set using the UP, DOWN and LEFT buttons.
  3. Press the SET button briefly to save the settings, and press the SET button for a long time to exit the menu.

Now you need to configure the type of thermocouple used for the REX C100 and the temperature scale. To do this you need to do the following:

  1. Simultaneously and continuously press the SET and LEFT buttons to go to the corresponding menu.
  2. Use the SET button to select the SL 1 parameter. This programmable parameter is responsible for setting the type of thermocouple to be connected:
    • a zero value corresponds to type K;
    • a value of 1 corresponds to type J;
    • with a value of 10 - type R;
    • with a value of 11 - type S;
    • with a value of 100 - type B;
    • with a value of 101 - type E;
    • with a value of 110 - type N;
    • with a value of 111 - type T.
  3. Set the value to 0000.
  4. Press the SET button to save the value and move to the next menu item SL 2. The last digit in the designation indicates the temperature measurement scale: 0 if the temperature is measured in Celsius, and 1 if the temperature is measured in Fahrenheit.
  5. Set to 0 to measure temperature in Celsius.
  6. Press SET to save changes.
  7. Press the SET and LEFT buttons to exit the menu.

In the REX C100, setting the display of tenths on the indicator is important. You can set not only an integer, even temperature, for example, 80°C, but also a decimal one: 80.1°C; 80.3°C; 80.9°C. It is important to know that the dual controller supports decimals.

Therefore, you need to be extremely careful and careful when setting values and watch how you set the point.

This digital device is not difficult to purchase and acquire; the main thing is to connect and configure it correctly for high-quality work.

Well, it’s time to look at this controller in more detail, as well as adapt and customize it to your needs!

On the face of the face there are two lines of seven-segment LED indicators. The top “PV” line is red; in operating mode it shows the current temperature. In setup mode, menu items.
The bottom line “SV” is green, in operating mode it displays the set temperature that the PID controller strives for. In setup mode, displays the set temperature or set readings for menu items.
The “SET” button, when pressed once, is used to enter the temperature setting mode, when held for more than 2 seconds to go to the user submenu. When held together with the “left” button, to enter the “engineering” menu, where more fine-tuning of the controller is made.
Using the “left” button we move through the digits of the set values, and the “up” and “down” buttons respectively increase or decrease the set values.
On the left there is a row of signed LED indicators, which mainly duplicate the controller output and some used functions, such as PID auto-tuning.
