Download extension for Instagram. Instagram secrets for the advanced! Changing the page code

In total, there are three effective methods that open all the functions of the site.

Today Instagram is the most popular social network.

Users can log into their account from a computer and mobile application.

Please note that the desktop version does not support all functions, as the developers are more focused on the mobile client for smartphones and tablets.

Functions of the computer version of the site:

  • Search for people;
  • Evaluation of publications;
  • View the news feed;
  • Editing personal information;
  • Notifications about photos in which you have been tagged;
  • View your posts.

As you can see, there is no function for adding photos. Also, from your computer you will not be able to communicate with other users via Direct.

The developers do not yet plan to add these functions to the computer version. The latest update only affected stories.

They can now be viewed through a browser if you are logged in to your profile.

Method 1 – Publishing photos via browser

Most of them collect user data and you may end up losing your page due to hacking or spamming.

Changing the page code

The first method can be used in any browser.

Its essence is that you artificially change the appearance of the page to the mobile version.

This will enable the add post button.

Follow the instructions:

After selecting a photo, the editing function will be available to you.

Please note that the photo will open in full screen, so the quality may be poor.

This is due to the fact that the mobile version is not adapted for the browser, and therefore the arrangement of tabs or pictures is inconvenient.

Once you finish editing and publishing the photo, this problem will disappear.

Click on the “Filter” tab to add the effect you like and on “Edit” if you need to crop/rotate the photo. In the upper right corner, click on “Next”:

In the new window, enter your signature and click on the “Publish” button.

As a result, you will be taken to the page with your publication.

Comments from other users and the number of likes will be displayed here.

You can add videos in the same way.

Please note that you will not be able to post a photo collage (several pictures in one post) through the browser.

This feature is only available in the official Instagram mobile app.

Chrome Extension

The following method will only work in the Chrome browser.

To publish your photos, you need to download the official Instagram extension.

Click on the “Install” button, then wait for the plugin to be added to your browser:

In the upper right corner of Chrome you will find a list of all installed extensions.

Among them will be “Desktop for Instagram”.

Plugin features:

Click on the extension icon in your browser and log in in the new window, then reload the page.

Add your signature, geodata (optional) and publish the post.

The advantage of this method is its convenience. You don't have to constantly turn on the mobile version of the site.

All elements of the Instagram page will have the usual size, so you will not encounter the problem of scale, as in the first option with the developer tab.

Note that similar extensions can be found for other browsers, but the version for Chrome supports the largest number of mobile functions and works without failures.

Method 2 – Client forWindows 10

If you are using the eighth or tenth version of the OS, go to the store and download the software.

Publishing photos through the application also has restrictions, however, they can be circumvented.

Follow the instructions:

  • Move the pictures to the “Pictures” - “Camera Album” folder on your computer;
  • Go to the Instagram application;
  • In the upper right corner, click on the camera icon. By default, the client allows you to take pictures with your computer's webcam and publish them;
  • In the window that opens, click on the image gallery icon;
  • The Camera Album folder will open. It stores all the pictures you took with your webcam, as well as recently moved photos. Click on the desired file and upload it to the program;
  • Edit the photo using the keys in the upper right corner of the screen and click on “Save”.

In addition to the option to publish and edit photos, the Instagram desktop client for Windows works with Direct.

To go to the list of your dialogs, just click on the corresponding key in the upper right corner of the screen.

To start a conversation with another user, enter their nickname in the search field.

A dialog box will then open where you can send a message, emoji, photo or document.

Method 3 – Through the mobile program

The third way is to use a mobile app, but you don't need a smartphone or tablet for this.

All programs for Android OS can be installed on a Windows computer using an emulator - software for creating a mobile OS environment.

Open Nox App Player after installation is complete. To download Instagram, go to Play Market, which is available in the emulator.

You can also download the APK version of the client to your computer and install it.

The program will prompt you to log into your Google account. This is necessary in order to download and install programs.

After installing Instagram, enter your username and password to go to your page.

You can upload photos using your webcam or internal memory. Everything is like in a regular smartphone.

Only for now the emulator does not have internal memory.

To add the necessary photos to the system folder, in Windows, open the “This PC” shortcut and use a search in drive C to find the root folder of the Nox App Player program.

It contains the Nox_share\Image directory. You need to add images here.

At the stage of adding a photo via the Instagram mobile application, select the desired file in the internal memory window that opens:

Thematic videos:

The new service is available for viewing only on a smartphone. It is impossible to view the stories of other users using standard browser tools on a computer. But each browser can be expanded to gain access to Instagram history, the extension will help with this.

Overview of available add-ons

To access stories, you can download and install a special application called the Instagram stories extension. All browser developers create such tools. They are convenient because they are installed only when necessary, which saves space and RAM.

Instagram stories extension for Yandex browser and Opera. Note that all Opera add-ons and part of Google Chrome are also suitable for Yandex.

Allows you not only to view stories, but also to download them. There is a download button on the top right for this purpose. It also appears when you hover over an image. The advantage is that the original photo will be loaded, not the cropped Instagram one. You can also configure the display of the download button – fading or fixed.

Sometimes problems arise during installation. In this case, you should refresh the page by pressing F5. If this does not help, it is recommended to update your browser version to a more recent one.

This is not an official Insta Story extension, although the browser developers accepted it and created a download link from the official website. Allows you to view stories and download them.

The biggest disadvantage is job instability. It was created not so long ago and the developer is still working on fixing bugs. You also cannot specify the location where the content will be saved. This feature is not expected in the future. Everything is copied to the browser folder.

Developed by programmer Alec Garcia. The Google add-on allows you to view stories and download them. You can also search by hashtags and usernames. You can view stories even if you are not a subscriber.
Easy to install and starts working immediately.

Install this extension for Instagram in your browser, and you can view and download any story.
