How to set up the “My Family” section so that the child can download games and applications:

1. Open the "My Family" section on a computer on the Windows Phone website.

2. Log in with the parent's email address and his Microsoft account password. If you don’t have Windows Phone, in spite of this, you can set up the "My Family" section. If there is no Microsoft account, then you have the opportunity to create one.

3. On the "My Family" settings page, select the item Beginning of work. (If you have already added a child to the “My Family” section before, or you have set up a section using another Microsoft service, then Beginning of workwill not be displayed. In this case, you just need to select the item Add a child).

4. To add a child to the “My Family” section, you should click Go to. You also need an indication on the login page of your child's email address and his Microsoft account password. If the child does not have an account yet, you need to create it by pressing the button check in.

5. From the home page, click To fix (it is located next to the name of the child). Then follow the instructions to accept the terms of use for the Windows Phone Store. Now your child will have access to download applications from the Windows Phone Store.

6. To add to the " My family"Second parent, you need to click on the home page of this section Add parent. Parents have the ability to jointly manage the child’s settings, but each other’s settings cannot be changed.

How to change the application settings for the child.

1. Open windowsphone.com on your computer.

2. You will see a menu in which you need to select the item My familyin chapter Overview.

4. Next to the name of the child on the homepage " My family"press the button Change settings, then perform one of the following actions.

In order for the child to buy games and applications, in the section select the item Allow Free and Paid.

To allow the child to download only free applications and games, in the section select the item Allow free only. At the same time, the child will not have access to purchases even in free applications.

To set a ban on the purchase of applications and games by your child in the section, select the item Do not allow.

To set the most adult rating for games that your child can download and view, enable Game Ratings Filter. To open the Microsoft Family Safety website and change the rating, click Change rating.

In order for the child to view and download unrated games, you need to check the box Allow unrated games. In this case, do not forget that in some games without a rating may contain content that is undesirable for children to view.

So, after I neatly unpacked my beautiful brand-new smartphone, unloaded the advertisement from the screen, charged the battery and prepared to occupy the new gadget. When you first register your account in the phone and activate the billing, you will need to again indicate that you are from the USA, not Ukraine or Russia. And here you need to be very careful, because then it is simply impossible to change the country - you will have to register new account  and do full reset phone. This, by the way, may be another argument in favor of registration in the Ukrainian Marketplace: if you decide in the future to change the place of registration from the USA to Ukraine, you will lose all purchased applications. So, we complete the registration: I specify the gender, date of birth, enter (from the second time, of course!) “Captcha” and click on the button that says “I accept”. A couple of seconds - and the Hotmail mail page opens in the browser.

In general, everything is simple. Now, almost nothing prevents to pick up the phone and register in the system with a fresh Live ID. To do this, select the “Settings” item in the “main” menu of the smartphone, the item “mail + accounts” on the System tab, and then the item “ Windows Live».

Then everything is simple: you need to enter your login (mail, which is registered Live ID) and password, click the "Login" button. After some time, we again find ourselves on the “mail + accounts” tab, but there already in proud loneliness the item under the inscription “Windows Live” flaunts.
